nce upon a time, on a cloud up in the sky
There was a little boy named Peter, a spirit meant to fly.
He made a deal with God that he would walk upon the earth
To spread His loving message to the masses after birth.

God sat next to Peter and said, “Please be aware
The world is a destructive place, its people in despair.”
Peter’s mission did not waiver, he said, “I will arrange
A blueprint for humanity to make a steadfast change.”

God replied to Peter, “I’ll grant you fifty years
To work your brand of magic and educate your peers.
You will do amazing things, but at times life will be hard
So be persistent in your faith, your innocence I’ll guard.”

Peter, ever grateful, he was allowed the chance
To capture our attention through the art of song and dance.
His mission was to heal the world, and teach people to care
To lead us by example in ways that no one could compare.

Peter knew his life in spirit was about to make a change
He decided to disguise himself and chose a different name.
“I’ll be known as Michael to the people down below,
They’ll receive God’s message in every song and show.”

This was the beginning of Peter’s grand illusion.
Disguised as Michael Jackson, he was working in seclusion.
He hadn’t any time to waste, for perfection he did strive
Starting his great mission at the tender age of five.

Throughout his life he did his best to rescue people in distress.
He’d work for months not accepting a penny,
Then gave it all to those without any.
He fed the hungry, helped heal the ill,
He gave his life to do God’s will.
With courage, gaining world attention for
Problems needing mass prevention.

What puzzles me until this day
Is the injustice that came Michael’s way.
He spent his whole life doing good,
Perhaps he did more than he should.

For the world did not appreciate the precious jewel they had.
They used, mocked, and belittled him, they treated him so bad.
No matter what indignity was thrown upon this man
He continued his good nature, helping anyone he can.

Michael was pure and child-like, his innocence retained.
The people who made fun of him
Should hang their heads in shame.
A humble man, misunderstood,
Who graced our world from childhood.
He bore the pain of a world, so cruel,
Injustice suffered for tales untrue.

In his final years I saw the trace of grief and sadness on his face.
The sorrow deep within his eyes,
A broken spirit he could not disguise.
I wish I could have dried his tears
And heal the battle wounds of his later years.
How could people have such nerve?
A fate that he did not deserve.

My heart was shattered when he was taken.
The time has come, we must awaken!
As a society, look at what we do.
The mirror now reflects on YOU.

When you gaze at our world and dislike what you see
Opportunity is there to set ourselves free.
Just open your mind, and open your heart
Absorb the LOVE and LIGHT he brought.

God’s truthful lesson does not wane or waiver
Drink of its wine, its sweetness savor.
